Blessings part 2

Ok, I'm inspired to blog every day until Christmas. Some of my favorite bloggers are challenging me. since I blogged twice yesterday, that will have to do for a start. Here is how I have been so blessed this week, and after yesterday's blog full of complaints, I need to redeem myself.

Monday evening after we found out the buyer for our house had backed out, I was feeling a little weepy. Annie and I were alone at the dinner table (Brandt ate and RAN--a common occurence--you know: ADHD). Anyway, she was her usual talky self and somehow it came out that Ms. Lois was not going to buy our house and I was a bit sad. She put her little hand on my arm and proclaimed, "Mom, we need to just pray!" So pray we did. We prayed ALL OVER the house for every room. She did most of the praying. It was amazing the way she took authority and declared "God, you know we need to sell this house, so let's do it." Needless to say, I was crying by the end of our prayer time.

Fast forward to later in the evening:

"Annie, I think you could be a preacher".
"Can girls be preachers, Mom?"
"Absolutely! Just look at Joyce Meyer"
"Well, then, that's what I want to be...but not a preacher for kids, I want to preach to grown-ups!"

This child just blesses the socks off me!

Wow! Annie is an AMAZING little girl. Sometimes it takes a child's wisdom to put us back where we need to be:Focused on God.
