This has been a trying week...first I hit a big 'ol 10 point buck in the beemer. Nope I didn't strap it to the hood and bring it home, and I didn't cut off the rack to use as a hood ornament. I didn't have my buck knife on me, thank you very much. So the beemer went to visit our friendly auto face lift/makeover spa. AND we drove the explorer (aka truck-like bumpy ride) a zillion miles to Mississippi to pick up my parents (ages 90 & 92) and drove them to Alabama for Thanksgiving. We took Annie out of school for 2 days...I NEVER take her out of school, and we messed up her perfect attendance record. You can almost picture it...2 adults, 2 geriatrics, 1 kid, 2 dogs....kinda brings up memories of a Chevy Chase movie. Thankfully we didn't have to strap anyone on the roof. Annie and I slept on a double sized air mattresses with a dog the entire week. It wasn't too bad, if you don't mind a couple of head kicks every night and a snoring chihuahua. Then after a bumper-to-bumper drive to the Atlanta airport on Wednesday ---the DAY BEFORE Tgiving....the heaviest traveled day of the year...and a day of feasting on Turkey and Dressing (thanks SIS!!) we rode back to Mississippi on Friday (raining all the way). On Saturday we proceeded to head back to TX at 8 am--you know beat the travel crowd. Just after crossing the TX state line, traffic came to a FREAKIN' HALT. Can you believe it??????? We decided to just exit and see where it takes us...
yup--beat the traffic all right.
WE made it home in record time...15 hours. Just FYI, that would be the world's SLOWEST record. There was one point around 10:30 pm,
I actually thought about just jumping out of the car and running home.
I don't want to sit in a car seat again..........EVER.
Ok so we got home safe and sound, to find out the buyer for our house backed out...dang the luck.
........and you all know we're moving to Tucson, AZ in exactly 30 days. I'm SOOOOOO not ready. I think I need to visit the local spa for a makeover myself. A massage would work just as well.
Hummmm, wonder what my deductible is?

Yikes! 15 hours in a car. I don't blame you for wanting to jump out and run the rest of the way home. We went to Ohio a couple years back with the kids and let me tell you, that wasn't very fun either. On a much different note: Sorry your potential buyer bailed on ya. Keep your head up. It will sell.
