It's really happening

I think I've been in denial.

Sure we have our house on the market, sure I've interviewed for the job, accepted it and filled out a GO-zillion applications, sent boxes of paperwork, transcripts and passport photos, enrolled Annie in a new school. Shoot I've even packed a few boxes. BUT today when the official email came...it hit me. We really are moving, I really am getting a new job--one that I've dreamed of for years.

I'm going to be a pediatric nurse practitioner with kids who have cancer in Tucson, Arizona!??

You know I've been mostly a SAHM for the last 2 1/2 years. After I graduated in August, 2006, we came to Kerrville so Brandt could be a part of Impact Christian Fellowship. Jobs for me did not come. I finally took a position teaching in San Antonio at a lovely nursing school where they actually PRAY OUT LOUD IN CLASS before all tests....the Baptist School of Health Professions. It has been a blessing to stay at home with Annie and Brandt, to inspire new nurses and to have time for myself.

Now, the Lord is answering my prayers.

The picture above is the Diamond Children's Hospital being built at the University Medical Center in Tucson. It will be completed in 2010, where "our" hematology/oncology/stem cell transplant program will take up a whole floor...I'll be there when it opens.

It's totally overwhelming to think about.
