Facebook has changed my life. I have reconnected with friends from high school, previous jobs, college, etc. It has been fun to get back in touch with TWO ex-sister-in-laws, rather than an annual Christmas card (and with as much as we move around, believe you me, it's hard to keep up with us!) Anyhoo, I do love Facebook...
Friday night I was faced with a Facebook situation that I COULD HAVE NEVER IMAGINED would happen...not to any of MY FB friends, anyway. I got a phone call late Friday night from an friend who said "Have you checked your Facebook tonight?" Of course not, I had been having fun with a dear friend who came from Texas to visit, along with an old friend from High School (that I had re-connected thru FB, of course).
It seems that a mutual friend of ours had posted what sounded like a suicide note on her FB page and had sent only me the same message personally just 1 hour prior to this call. PANIC, what to do? She is in Ft Worth, TX, I am in Tucson, AZ. I frantically called her house begging her to answer the phone, while my friend called 911. It was an awful, awful thing that I never wish to repeat.
I was only able to find out that police went to my friend's home, and an ambulance was dispatched, and she was transported to an undisclosed hospital in an undisclosed status.
Please pray for my friend Theresa. She has had a terrible time battling depression for years, but she is a delightful, fun, creative person who has inspired me in many ways. I love her dearly, and pray there is some way I can help her.

Holy cow, I have not seen that happen. Keep us posted.
Oh my dear, dear friend! Like you don't have enough going on? I will pray for Theresa and YOU, too!
Oh wow. I can't imagine. At least she cried out for help. Our prayers are with her. Lisa~
