ONE freakin pound

I am disappointed, but not as disappointed as I would have been if it was ZERO...Ok this week I counted points every day and did not go over even once. I took the stairs as much as I could. I was hungry. I went to happy hour and had NO appetizers...I watched my friends eat my beloved "truffles" - some fancy french fries with a spicy mayo dip. I felt deprived all week. Now, don't you feel sorry for me? Or at least as sorry as I feel for myself...

Here is the recipe I got at WW this morning:

Crunchy Apple Salad

  • 6 T. fat-free sugar free vanilla yogurt
  • 6 T reduced fat cool whip type topping
  • 1/4 t. + 1/8 t. cinnamon
  • 2 med red apples, chopped
  • 1 lg. granny smith apple, chopped
  • 1/4 c. dried cranberries
  • 2 T chopped walnuts

combine yogurt, topping & 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Add apples & cranberries. Just before serving, sprinkle with walnuts and remaining cinnamon. 1 serving = 3/4 cup (2 WW points)

This past week was a hard week in many ways, not just eating, but I plan to keep on going (like I have a choice).

SOOOOOOOOOO- this next week I WILL stop feeling deprived & sorry for myself, start feeling healthier, walk even more. It is OK to feel a little hungry, I am not starving, I have choices. Well, what-ever, I WILL just keep going and see what happens.

(Obviously my metabolism is not what it used to be --- DUH!)

Oh well, ladies, keep on keepin on!
We can do this, we can do this, we can do this.

(at the grocery store, I'm going to buy a People magazine to inspire me - hey I'll try almost anything as long as it's under $10)

I'm right there with ya sista. I started later than you, but I've lost nothing. Nothing. But then I started my cycle today...so I am hoping it's water weight and it will fall off at the end of the week. Drag. Lisa~

Ugh! Just one pound for me, too! I guess it's official: we have NO METABOLISM left. So until we have Arnold's muscles, we will just stay on slow gear, but one pound a week is still down 52 pounds by the middle of summer next year, eh? And it's still down 22 pounds by Christmas.
