We still don't have internet at our new home yet...so another quick story of how I have been blessed by this move to Tucson. Go ahead and get your tissues ready. As you know I took a job taking care of kids who have cancer, and most of them survive, get better and get on with life. they are forever changed by cancer, most of the times, changed for the better as I have seen. There are some who do not survive, and a few that we know from the beginning that survival is not possible in our hands.
One of those is a little boy, aged 6, who was diagnosed with a very bad type of brain tumor in my first month here. He has been through several brain surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy, but continues to get worse. I have known all along that the chance of his survival 6 months was very slim, so all along I have had the awesome privelege to stand by his bed, place my hand in his and pray for him. I have gotten to know his family, grandparents, aunts, cousins, sister and brother.
A couple of weeks ago, his mom and her boyfriend who has been constantly by her side through this, decided to get married. A complete wedding was put together in 2 days! It was amazing to see people volunteer to make this happen--we're talking caterer, photographer, DJ, tuxedos, wedding cake --even an overnight stay in the hotel next door. The little boy was brought up from his room, with his bed all decked out with satin sheets to match the wedding party, and 2 nurses to help out. There was not a dry eye in the house....including the photographer.
Well, today he is most likely going to die---I have been praying all morning for Jesus to take him quietly, softly, and comfortably so that he can RUN INTO JESUS ARMS! And many of my little friends from the past 18 years are waiting to welcome him. It is always a happy reunion in my mind, even though it is so hard for those of us left behind. Please pray for his parents, especially his Mom to have the peace that she did everything possible to try and save his life (which, she did).
Addendum....*C* quietly and peacefully died in his Mom & Dad's arms yesterday afternoon at 5:20. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers.

Yes, Lord, hear our prayers. And thank you for Lisa and her intersession for your little angel.
Oh my. That's such a special story. Thank you for sharing it. I'm so glad you warned me that I'd need some tissues ready. You were right.
Please keep us updated. We are praying. Lisa~
Aww what an incredible story. Yes tissues were necessary!!! Thankful that he is in sweet Jesus s arms! And no I don't think your house would be cleaner with more children but you do have more hands to help with the cleaning...although once a kid is Annie's age the messes are probably minimal...I bet that Brant is the real mess maker ;) And the whole point of the post was that now that I am THERE I see I am not all that I thought it would be....
