This morning we all popped up out of bed with smiles on our faces. Why, you ask, would you be smiling so early in

the morning (you know I TRY not to smile or talk much before 10am-just ask my family). Well, this morning is the day we've been anticipating for over a week now. It is the day of Tom Daniels' Elementary PEP RALLY (or peppa rally as Annie says). Now a couple of months ago Annie was selected to be one of the cheerleaders at the peppa rally, but she did not want her Mom to come, so I have NO pictures to scrap of my child's first cheerleading experience. But, I did not want to embarrass my child, so I complied to her wishes. But this week is different. Annie was selected to receive a character award from her class for FAIRNESS. Now, after last week and the "mean girls" I decided this was a really big deal, and I am going, cameras in hand. So we went this morning, I was dressed, make-up on and hair fixed by 7:45 am. Brandt and I both arrived in the gymnasium, each with a camera, and proud as we could be. It also turned out to be the "farewell" for her school's principal, who is retiring at the end of the school year. It was great fun to see the school mascot, and the cheerleaders, and all the excitement of the students. What a great way to start the day, and now I'm off to my other favorite pasttime, browsing a flea market! Have a great sunny weekend!
