Annie's Monday

Today Annie had a "tough" day...you know it's tough when the school nurse calls me at 8:45. After a bit of discussion, and a vague complaint of chest pain, I went to the school to check it out. Now if you know me well, you should know that I'm not at my best before 10 am, so with scary hair and sweat pants I went to the school office. With her best sad face on, Annie shows me where it hurts and agrees a little pink liquid Advil might make it better. After a few hugs and unsuccessful attempts to make her laugh, I sent her back to class. I seemed to remember the statement somewhere in my recent past "some girls have been mean to me" and when leaving the car this morning her saying "that's so-in-so, she's mean to me. So, of course I decided to email the teacher with my concerns and proceeded to worry all day. Her teacher reassured me that she was OK, and will survive the 2nd grade...but we both lamented the long road ahead, only 10 more years 'til graduation!

Welcome to blogland! :) It's been so good getting to know you through church and scrapbooking!

Poor Annie. I'm sorry she had a rough Monday. It breaks my heart when other kids are mean to my kids so I know how hard it is for you too.
