Back to finding a church. Last night (Saturday) we went again to a church that seemed to have a great children's ministry, but the praise was, how do I say this and still be kind...boring. The pastor's message was fluffy. We have friends who went there and they love it.
So we have now tried 3 different services at this church, and last night Annie said:
"Mom this is a FUN church!"
So, "what did you do at Kids church?"
Reply: "WE played on the playground, ate candy and
I colored 2 squares on a quilt that is going to your hospital for sick kids."
My reply: "did you learn about Jesus?"
"NOPE!"
OOPS, wrong answer there.

So, today we looked in the good old Yellow Pages. Went to Victory Assembly...waaay over across town, 40ish minutes away. We took Annie to children's church, the children's minister came right up, introduced herself to Annie and us, and took her to meet new friends. So far, so good. We went into a brand new auditorium (last week was the first worship in the building) with a few really friendly people around us (in a sea of about 1000 people), with an awesome worship time, a great message about healing and prayer time. So far this place gets 3 votes...we'll keep you posted. I'm just so hungry to get settled, but I'm praying for God to lead us to the place He wants us to be.
Just FYI, I still cried during the worship, especially when one of my favorite songs was sung...I miss you Faith and Charity. Oh gosh I sure do miss the old days when Jeff & Kelli lead worship, too. Anyway, I'm still crying through worship...It used to be that I thought I was crying because I was preparing to leave Impact, now it's because I'm missing Impact. One day it will be because the Holy Spirit is moving me, or is that what it is now?
(Obviously, the Holy Spirit still betrays me, thanks for tuning me into that Cindy!)
Things are lookin' up. And don't forget the waterproof mascara and tissues every Sunday. Now, if we can just find a place to live...nothing is too big for GOD!

We've had that search for a church home on our prayer list for ya, and we're still gaining prayer warriors to get your house sold by the end of this month! Love and miss ya soooooo much!
Oh it is so hard to find a church! I can sympathize. I hope you can settle somewhere soon. I pray you make new friends and new memories. Lisa~
