Happy Birthday SIS!!!!

Today is my sister's birthday...did you know I have one? She's 16 years older than I am, and delights in telling the story of my birth. Evidently I was in the birth canal a LONG time, and came out with a pointed head. Thus all of her high school friends remember me as "bullet head"...not to mention I was cross eyed and bald! I'm pretty sure when she came to the hospital to see the new baby with her boyfriend, they thought it was a mistake...surely not THAT one!

As I was growing up, we didn't have much in common...She was married and having her first child I was in second grade. As a teenager I delighted in spending the summers with her in New Orleans (my second home). As I have grown up, we have become dear friends. She has shared lots of fun memories of my grandparents that I barely knew. She has provided me with a wonderful niece whom I love dearly and 2 nephews that I am proud to know (and say I helped raise during those summers!)
