Yes, I'm a slacker blogger or is it blogger slacker?

OK, I finally have time to sit and blog. Now it's finally back to school---whew I felt like we were on the back of a buckin' bronco and just holdin' on 'til Labor Day ! We've had a whirlwind, busy, busy, busy summer. Annie started her summer by making the vacation Bible school rounds....the Baptists, HC Christian, and Methodists...sorry we missed the Presbys, but heard it was good. One of the highlights of our summer was the "HUNAN GIRLS REUNION" in June. As you know, Annie is adopted from China, so once every coupla years we try to gather the families who traveled to China to become parents together for a fun reunion. This year I decided to host the group in Ingram, TX on the Guadalupe River at the Al Lado Del Rio Resort. We had families from Austin, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Scottsdale - 10 girls, 10 parents. HOW COOL IS THAT?? We played in the river (Brandt especially loved being "accidentally" pushed into the river and the GREAT rope swing), we ate a lot (of course), watched hilarious girls' performances and had lots of fun remembering things about our adoption journey together. Here are a few pictures, sorry to say our poor digital is not performing very well and I haven't taken the film to be developed YET>>>>>>>OK that's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it!
We found our girls diverse in personalities, but alike in many ways. They seemed to pick up their friendships quickly as if they had never missed a beat. It was so much fun for our family. Thanks to the friends who had to travel here at great expense. We love you and miss you!

OK once the film is developed, I PROMISE to post more about our summer fun (even though no one but me looks at this blog, right??!) Did I mention we had a busy summer? We went to all the finer places...Ft Worth, TX, Boone, NC, Greenville, SC, Gulfport, MS, Opelika, AL, Jackson, MS, Johnson City, TX just to name a few. Now if that doesn't make you want to check back, nothin' will! See ya!
