Well last fall I bought a big ol' granny bike at a garage sale. I've now ridden it 5 times? Anyway, back in January Annie and I decided to go on a bike ride on our street...she was still attached to those crummy training wheels. To make a long story short, we both ended up in a crash, she was dramatically screaming "my leg is broken, my leg is broken!!" so I picked her up carried her home all the way. She then vowed never to ride again.
Soooooooooooooooooooo, today I finally decided to take those training wheels off and give her a little push in the nice soft grass.
To our surprise, off she went!

Of course when Dad found out how much fun we were having, he had to join us to make sure we were doing it right....Here's how NOT to do it...

The girl was all smiles and might
even think of taking it to the driveway one day soon.
and by the way....she did NOT have a broken leg, but I DID have a cracked rib and a nice big bruise from a cell phone in my pocket and now bear a beautiful scar on my shin to boot. I must be gettin' too old for this stuff.........
